SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 14, 2013 — The EL-2800M-PMCL and EL-2800C-PMCL industrial cameras are the first two models in JAI Inc.'s Elite series. The 2.8-MP CCD cameras are for monochrome and color applications, respectively.
Offering variable lighting conditions, the cameras can be used for outdoor applications including traffic and sports imaging, for high-end surveillance, and for semiconductor inspection, microscopy and ophthalmology. They measure 62 × 62 × 55.5 mm and can run 54.7 fps at full resolution (1920 × 1440 pixels) and at 60 fps in 1080p60 high-definition mode (1920 × 1080 pixels).
The instruments feature automatic-level and P-iris control, and a programmable three-axis motorized control capability. They incorporate high-fidelity ICX674 imagers from Sony featuring EXview HAD CCD II technology.
The monochrome model offers near-IR sensitivity and supports 1 × 2, 2 × 1 or 2 × 2 binning modes for greater sensitivity. The color model, in addition to raw Bayer output, can perform in-camera 24-bit RGB interpolation at 15.8 fps.
All models provide fixed or variable partial-scanning modes for increased frame rates, multiple trigger modes and a 256-point look-up table.
