ZURICH, Sept. 4, 2013 — The PicoBlade picosecond laser from Time-Bandwidth Products AG is suited for micromachining applications including drilling, welding, glass cutting, scribing, semiconductor and hard-materials processing, and selective thin-film ablation.

Features include pulse-on-demand; proprietary FlexBurst pulse-burst mode; fast analog-/digital-modulation pulse control; up to 50-W average power; and single-shot pulse repetition rates to 8 MHz and above.

The unibody housing includes a detachable, flexible umbilical cable, horizontal or vertical mounting of the laser, a proprietary cooling system, and optional hands-off wavelength conversion for green or UV output beams.
