MECHANICSBURG, Pa., Dec. 28, 2013 — Oven Industries Inc. has released a thermoelectric benchtop temperature controller for use in research labs. The solid-state, MOSFET, bidirectional device features an internal power supply and a full H bridge, achieving load currents up to 4 A in H-bridge mode. It can control resistive heaters or thermoelectric modules with load currents up to 5 A using the unidirectional output and internal supply, and can achieve 10 A if used with an external power supply. The device is PC-programmable via the RS-232 port, which has an isolation of 1500 V of alternating current. All parameter settings are retained in nonvolatile memory, and the controller has a digital display for control functions.
