CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 21, 2014 — Melles Griot has introduced the OEM monolithic light engine for applications including flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, microarray and retinal scanning, capillary electrophoresis, laser-induced fluorescence and polymerase chain reaction.

The light engine can shake, rattle and ship without the need for realignment. Its hermetically sealed design, combined with a patented beam combiner, improves stability when subjected to mechanical shock, vibration and temperature changes.

Available in three or more output wavelengths from 405 to 785 nm and powers up to 200 mW, the device offers improved pointing and power stability as well as ultralow optical noise. Custom beam profiles, focal distances and modulation parameters are available.
