Request InfoOctane WirelessPharad has introduced the MBC-DF-UC-U dither-free modulator bias controller for OEM applications including stable control of lithium niobate and gallium arsenide modulators. The 2.5 × 2-in. device features continuous tuning of the modulator bias voltage via USB computer control. It operates in conjunction with onboard, in-line optical power monitors, eliminating the need for external optical couplers or photodetectors. The board’s dither-free control avoids pilot tones found in many bias controllers, making it suitable for high-performance analog fiber optic links.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra August 2023 IssueOptical Intensity ModulatorThe ROF-AM 850-nm lithium niobate optical intensity modulator from Beijing Rofea Optoelectronics Co.
