FITCHBURG, Mass., June 25, 2014 — Headwall has announced the new Nano-Hyperspec sensor for commercial unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) deployment. The hyperspectral sensors contain immobile parts and non-transmissive optics that control measurement inaccuracy and stray light. The hyperspectral sensor operates in the visible to near-infrared (VNIR) (400-1000 nm) spectral range; the VNIR sensor features 640 spatial bands and 270 spectral bands at a resolution of 2-3 nm. The Nano-Hyperspec’s frame rate is over 300 fps. The Nano-Hyperspec instrument is suited for agricultural and environmental applications, among others in the remote sensing market.
