WILSONVILLE, Ore., July 23, 2014 — The A65sc high-resolution thermal camera from Flir captures images in a variety of environments.

The 640 × 512-pixel camera captures images in temperatures from -40 to 550 °C, with temperature differences as small as 50 mK.

The device captures temperature measurements in every thermographic image. It is suited for R&D applications that have traditionally had to use thermocouples and spot pyrometers.

The process of producing a visible two-dimensional image of a scene that is dependent on differences in thermal or infrared radiation from the scene reaching the aperture of the imaging device.
