The Weld Crawler from Zetec is a motorized weld-inspection scanner for use in various applications and environments.
The device operates with phased array and time-of-flight diffraction probe combinations and is compatible with Zetec’s Topaz flaw detector and UltraVision software.
The device can be operated manually and can also be converted from a circumferential scanner to an axial scanner. The new weld scanner can also be used in the inspection of thin-welded plates and pipes; an optional frame allows the inspection of welds up to 6 in. thick.
