SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 22, 2014 — Allowing laser configurations of multiple wavelengths, the XLS10MWH Multiwave Hybrid laser material processing platform from Universal Laser Systems combines the laser energy from a 9.3- or 10.6-µm CO2 laser and a 1.06-µm fiber laser to simultaneously deliver a single beam.

The XLS10MWH can cut, mark and engrave both organic and inorganic materials. It is suited for materials processing of aerospace, automotive, electronic and other engineered materials.

Reinforced polymers, composites, nanocomposites and hybrid materials can also be processed.
