BOZEMAN, Mont., Jan. 14, 2015 — Wavelength Electronics QCLThe quantum cascade laser (QCL) series from Wavelength Electronics feature low-noise drive electronics for lower detection thresholds.

Possible output currents of 500, 1000, 1500, and 2000 mA in constant current mode are available, and compliance voltage is adjustable up to 20 V with 2- to 3-MHz analog modulation bandwidth.

Applications include remote detection of explosive materials, medical diagnosis, noninvasive glucose testing, emissions and air quality monitoring, petroleum leak detection and methane detection.

A Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) is a type of semiconductor laser that emits light in the mid- to far-infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.
