BOZEMAN, Mont., Feb. 9, 2015 — ILX Lightwave LDC-37620Combining a precision current source with an integrated 128-W thermoelectric temperature controller, the LDC-37620 from ILX Lightwave is designed for controlling high-power single-emitter laser diodes.

The device provides accurate constant current or constant power operation in two ranges, 10 and 20 A, with a compliance voltage up to 4 V. The integrated thermoelectric temperature controller provides high power with a laser current interlock that can disable laser currents to prevent thermal runaway.

Laser protection includes transient suppression, slow start, adjustable current limit and compliance voltage, intermittent contact protection and output shorting relays.
