Berkeley Nucleonics Corp. has introduced its model 065 optical pulse generator module for applications that require calibrated red optical sources. The instrument delivers 10 mW of pulsed or continuous-wave 650-nm light via fiber. Pulse width, delay and amplitude are independently adjustable, and external modulation provides pulse repetition rates up to 700 MHz. The model 065 is suitable for the generation of streak camera fiducials, characterization of fiber optic systems and components, and laser simulation.
