The LDC-3706 series of Laser Controllers consists of industry-leading combination laser current source and temperature controller specifically designed to control quantum cascade lasers and high-power single emitter laser diodes. Careful attention to the design allows the LDC-3736 Quantum Cascade Laser Controller to deliver up to 4 A at 18 V of low noise current with stability better than 20 ppm. The LDC-37620 High-Power Single Emitter Laser Diode controller delivers up to 20 A at 4 V of current with stability better than 50 ppm. The integrated high power temperature controller in both the LDC-3736 and LDC-37620 was designed to provide up to 128 W of cooling power while maintaining the TEC noise and ripple below 2.5 mA. Integrated redundant laser protection circuits ensure safe operation of quantum cascade lasers and laser diodes even during unforeseen circumstances. The standard features of the LDC-3706 Laser Controllers include multiple current ranges, analog current modulation, 4-wire voltage measurement of the laser and TEC, and USB and GPIB remote interface. Furthermore, all of ILX Lightwave's proven laser protection strategies have been designed into each model including slow start, adjustable current limits and compliance voltage, intermittent contact protection, and shorting relays.
