REUTLINGEN, Germany, Aug. 26, 2015 — Based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) diode technology, the SMO130 focal plane array from Robert Bosch GmbH has a resolution of 82 × 62 pixels. Suitable for thermography, the array offers simplified calibration and shutterless operation. In standard configuration, the array chip is mounted on a printed circuit board. Every pixel of the array contains four suspended semiconductor diodes in series and a MEMS-layer-based absorber material. The component is offered to system integrators and system manufacturers both for established applications and for new Internet of Things systems.
