SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 30, 2015 — NeoPhotonics Corp. has announced a suite of products and technologies designed to support 400-Gb/s and beyond optical transport across multiple network segments, including long haul, metro and data center interconnects.
High-speed InP-based waveguide photodetectors are designed for coherent receivers with higher-baud-rate transmission. The photodetectors can be incorporated in both monolithic and hybrid integrated coherent receivers and are capable of supporting symbol rates of 64 Gbd.
Integrated coherent receivers, when coupled with the company's Dual micro-ITLA (integrable tunable laser assembly), efficiently support dual-carrier 400-Gb/s implementations. The Dual micro-ITLA provides two independent, ultranarrow linewidth, separately tunable lasers and is well-suited to dense linecards with either 400-Gb/s or multiple 100-Gb/s ports.
A high-bandwidth electroabsorptive modulated laser is designed for use with high-order modulation systems.
