The strut-based mounting system minimizes vibration and allows submillimeter position adjustment of a variety of hardware. The six struts provide seismically adequate support for instruments weighing 200 pounds and more. The strut mechanical positioner has up to six degrees of freedom — translational XYZ motion, as well as angular pitch, roll, and yaw motion.
