MUSKEGON, Mich., Nov. 2, 2015 — Smart Vision Lights has announced a line of bandpass, colorpass and polarizer filters designed for LEDs.

The series includes bandpass filters for blue, cyan, green, amber, red and deep-red LEDs; colorpass filters in the red and deep-red; an IR bandpass filter used to maximize contrast under IR lighting; and a linear polarizer used to eliminate glare.

A step-down adapter is also offered from 25.5 to 27 mm, with a step-up adapter from 27 to 30.5 mm.

filter
1. With respect to radiation, a device used to attenuate particular wavelengths or frequencies while passing others with relatively no change. 2. See digital filter.
bandpass
The range of frequencies that will pass through a filter or other device. Synonymous with passband.
polarization
With respect to light radiation, the restriction of the vibrations of the magnetic or electric field vector to a single plane. In a beam of electromagnetic radiation, the polarization direction is the direction of the electric field vector (with no distinction between positive and negative as the field oscillates back and forth).
