Meridian Systems provide high-speed production testing for small aperture devices such as webcams, and vehicle and cell phone cameras, and are capable of qualifying the alignment of a camera system to a mechanical interface such as a product housing in just a single snapped frame.

The Meridian camera testing solution is compact, cost-effective and easy to incorporate in your production line. Multiple target projectors project a back-illuminated target from the required object conjugate into the pupil of the unit under test (UUT) from each of the required field points. The Meridian Arch mounting scheme is well-suited to clients who require just a few projector assemblies or to those who need a test setup for evaluation purposes or for production use with short delivery times. The Meridian Starfield mounting scheme is an option when the field point geometry is relatively complex or when the application requires a relatively large number of test setups. Both mounting options may be designed to accommodate a number of different target projectors composed of precision cylindrical barrels that house projection optics, the target reticle and an illuminator.

The graphical user interface facilitates setup and selection of metrology parameters, while a library of functions integrates easily into your testing software. Supported camera measurements using Meridian Prime software include MTF at multiple field points, line of sight tip-tilt or roll-angle relative to camera housing, diagonal field of view, imaging distortion; and sensor hot pixels/dead pixels and color fidelity. Imatest software is now compatible with the Meridian system, offering these users a means of making infinite conjugate measurements in a familiar software environment.
