MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 23, 2015 — The REALiS WUX6010 Pro AV liquid crystal-on-silicon (LCOS) projector from Canon U.S.A. Inc. reproduces images with high detail and color accuracy.

Features include a WUXGA resolution of 1920 × 1200 and luminous flux of 6000 lm. The projector also features a built-in HDBaseT receiver to help reduce complex wiring by allowing uncompressed HD video and audio and control signals to be transmitted over a single Ethernet cable.

The projector is built with Canon's LCOS technology with Aisys technology to deliver seamless images with high color reproduction and low-latency playback. 

A separate model, the Realis WUX6010 D, is available for those in the medical education and training fields with a Dicom simulation mode for displaying monochrome digital x-rays, CAT scans and MRIs with high gray scale gradation.

liquid crystal
A type of material that possesses less geometrical regularity or order than normal solid crystals, and whose order varies in response to alterations in temperature and other quantities. Liquid crystals are characterized by phase varieties, including cholesteric, nematic and smectic. The optical properties of liquid crystals are familiar from their use in displays, known as LCDs.
