FRAMOS' SMARTEK Vision CMOS CameraNew SMARTEK Vision CMOS camera family for machine vision applications combines GigE Vision and USB3 Vision with a new sensor interface in miniature housing, standardized connectivity, enhanced processing capabilities and a flexible customization concept. The brand-new platform with a 29x29mm form factor fulfills the new unofficial standard for industrial compact cameras. This allows seamless integration into most existing systems and all those where size really matters. Provided with the two most common industrial interfaces USB3 Vision and GigE Vision, SMARTEK Vision covers from long distance to high-speed at high-resolution nearly every application, providing a fully standard compliant hardware and software. Optimized for the latest CMOS image sensors, the SMARTEK Vision camera family comes with the needed capability to drive all the latest SONY Pregius and ON Semiconductor Phyton image sensors up to 12 Megapixels resolution to maximize both camera interface options.

The concept of seamless integration is able to connect with C-Mount, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and General Purpose IOs (GPIO) via 6-Pin Hirose connector with synchronization in- and outputs as well as several camera mounting screw ports. Doubled FPGA capabilities allow the customer specific implementations and provide an enhanced feature set like auto-exposure, multiple area of interest, gamma, LUT and chunk data control. In case the application has special demands in sensor functionality, feature set and mechanical dimensions, the SMARTEK Vision camera series is able to adapt almost every requirement quick and efficient.
