National Instruments has introduced the PCMCIA-FBUS Foundation Fieldbus interface, which allows users to connect laptop computers to fieldbus networks for portable data logging, in-the-field configuration and maintenance of devices and networks. It includes NI-FBUS driver software for Windows NT, a dynamic link library that is compatible with the company's application software products. As an option, the Foundation Fieldbus Network Configurator is also available bundled with the PCMCIA-FBUS.
