The Lasercell 1005 from Trumpf Inc., Laser Technology Center, uses five-axis transformation, 3-D height regulation, spline interpolation and laser power control for scratch-free cutting of 3-D parts. Its Dias III contactless height-regulation sensor maintains a constant standoff distance between the cutting nozzle and workpiece surface. The laser processor also can weld a variety of materials and can harden steel and cast iron with minimal part warping.
