Analytical Instrument Systems' D-1000 Deuterium Source is now available from Ocean Optics Inc. The high-output, high-stability, UV-optimized light source comprises a 1000-h, 25-W deuterium lamp and a highly regulated power supply suited for UV spectroscopy. Light from the lamp is focused onto optical fibers at a standard SMA port, and a safety shutter helps prevent direct view of the lamp when fibers are not installed. Other features include continuous spectral output from 185 to 400 nm and maximum fluctuation of 0.05% peak to peak.
