The BA500 laser beam analyzer monitors the performance of pulsed industrial Nd:YAG and diode lasers, enabling users to optimize systems for cutting and welding applications. Available from Ophir Optronics Inc., the portable analyzer is suitable for use with laser powers up to 1 kW, pulse energies of 100 J and beam diameters of 30 mm, and it measures frequency, average power, energy per pulse, spatial beam profile and temporal pulse shape (with an oscilloscope or optional Picoscope PC module). Up to 50,000 data points may be recorded and stored in the BA500's nonvolatile memory for transfer to a PC for analysis.
