The FireFly camera has been released by Point Grey Research. This IEEE-1394 board-level digital camera is designed for use in computer and machine vision applications. It is packaged as a complete development kit with the hardware and software required for integration into systems for custom applications. The FireFly was designed around SonyOs 1/3-in. HAD 640 x 480 progressive-scan CCD. Besides the IEEE-1394 PCI interface card, it is packaged with cable, driver software and an image-grabbing library.
