A line of laser turning mirrors and reflectors designed for use with 10.6-µm CO2 lasers in harsh industrial environments is available from Laser Research Optics Inc. Included are molybdenum mirrors with >98% average reflectance at 10.6 µm at a 45° angle of incidence; silicon turning mirrors with silver or dual band coatings that provide 99.5% and 99.7% average reflectance, respectively, at the same wavelength and angle of incidence; and silicon and copper-phase-retardation reflectors that exhibit <1.5% absorption.
