The Spectrum Detector SPH-30 and SPH-40 series of Pyroelectric detectors are Radiometric devices designed for measuring power. The SPH-CM Test evaluation box provides an easy to use power supply and signal routing system for these current mode detectors. The purpose of this application note is to show how this versatile combination can be configured as an energy meter (joulemeter) by adjusting Cf and Rf should you want to measure the pulse energy of your laser.
