SENSOR & TEST is the leading forum for sensors, measuring and testing technologies worldwide. The conferences (IMCS 2012 and Sensoren und Messysteme 2012) will run in parallel to the exhibition and enrich the event with scientific facts and prognoses for the future of the measurement industry. The two conferences have become the most significant German-speaking symposiums in the branch of sensors.

A focal topic on “Electromobility” will be offered to address the focus and progress of electric mobility. Topics for discussion will include sensors for the electronic driving control or for the battery management, special measuring systems for the trial of vehicles and new test procedures for electric motors.

The event will also feature more than 500 exhibitors that cover the entire spectrum of measuring and testing systems expertise from sensors to computers.

SID Display Week 2012

The 50th Society for Information Display (SID) International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibiton, dubbed Display Week 2012, is the premier international gathering of scientists, engineers, manufacturers and users in the electronic information displays industry.

The 2012 technical program will include special technology tracks such as 3-D, green technologies, solid-state lighting, flexible electronics and printed displays, and touch and interactive displays. The event will also feature four short courses that cover diverse topics related to information display, two market focus conferences and more than 200 exhibitors.

Keynote speakers include Dr. Byung Chul Ahn of LG Display Co. Ltd. presenting “Recent Breakthroughs for Larger-Sized OLED Displays and Their Application to OLED TV,” Dr. Sung Tae Shin of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. who will deliver a keynote address titled, “Display Transformation for Continuous Growth of the Display Industry,” and Dr. Ramash Raskar of the MIT Media Lab who will present “Computational Displays: New Optimization for Interactive Lighting-Sensitive 3-D Displays.”

Laser Safety Officer Training Course 2012
This intermediate level course provides an in-depth, analytical review of the LSO duties and requirements of ANSI Z136.1, OSHA, FDA-CDRH and state laser standards. After a review of the biological basis, the student will complete an in-depth computation workshop that covers MPE, AEL, NHZ and OD factors.

IEEE ISBI 2012
ISBI is a joint initiative from the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) and the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). The 2012 meeting will open with a morning of tutorials, followed by a scientific program of plenary talks, invited special sessions and tutorials, and oral and poster presentations of peer-reviewed papers and abstracts. For the first time in the history of ISBI, this edition will have a double track submission system: the traditional ISBI, full-paper, review process and publication with poster/oral presentations customary and a novel, abstract-based, review process with poster presentation, without subsequent archival publication.

Medical Laser Safety Officer Training for Dermatology 2012
This course is designed to give the Nurse Practitioner, Electrologist, or anyone using a laser in a dermatology practice a basic foundation in laser biophysics, tissue interaction and laser safety. Laser safety protocols will be addressed according to the newly revised ANSI Z136.3 Safe Use of Lasers in Health Care standard. Instruction is accomplished through didactics, and discussions. This course is for all nurse practitioners regardless of experience or practice setting. This course is worth 6.0 Contact Hours for RNs, and 1.0 BLS CM Points.

CLEO 2012
