Lucid Inc. has launched the VivaNet secure telemedicine server and network for the management and transfer of clinical data from dermatology practitioners using the company’s confocal imagers to pathologists or other medical specialists. The network provides fast, accurate and secure storage, retrieval and transfer of images. As soon as the information is uploaded, it is available for download to other users. The system is designed for HIPAA compliance, and it conforms to internationally accepted DICOM image standards.
