Applied Materials Inc., of Santa Clara, Calif., a nanomanufacturing technology company, has promoted Gilad Almogy, general manager of the Display and Thin Film Solar Products business group since August 2007, to senior vice president. Almogy will continue as GM of the group, which provides deposition and test systems used in flat panel display manufacturing and equipment.  He also previously served as general manager of Applied’s Israel-based Process Diagnostics and Control (PDC) business group.
