Lumanova GmbH has extended its passively Q-switched solid-state Flare lasers with a new UV model that delivers a 100-Hz repetition rate and 200 μJ of pulse energy. True hermetic sealing guarantees stable operation, even under extreme environmental conditions. Flare lasers combine compactness (the laser head footprint measures 16 × 7 cm), high cost efficiency, superior reliability and ruggedness and are suitable for use in industrial applications. Examples include microdissection, laser-induced fluorescence, Maldi-Tof and materials processing, such as marking and micromachining.
