GROVER BEACH, Calif., July 27, 2006 -- Arroyo Instruments has introduced the 5230 TECSource temperature controller, offering ultrastable 0.004C performance and 3A / 4.5V (13.5W maximum) output power in a compact, stylish package for $995. With a crystal clear vacuum fluorescent display (VFD), both RS232 and USB computer interfaces, and a small footprint, the TECSource will fit into almost any temperature control application.
Unlike other temperature controllers in its class which use inexpensive 7-segment LED displays, the TECSource takes advantage of its large VFD display to simultaneously display set point temperature, actual temperature, current and voltage. TECSource's interface is engineered for straightforward operation. Its text-based menus avoid confusion over which setting is being changed, and parameters are displayed clearly, with no cryptic numbers or LEDs to decode.
The 5230 TECSource is also designed to integrate with the 4200 Series LaserSource and 200 Series LaserMount products to offer a diverse laser diode test platform.
