Exciting Texas Red

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 21, 2008 – Newport Corporation’s Spectra-Physics Lasers Division has unveiled the Excelsior-594 Laser. This multi-longitudinal mode laser with 30 nW of output power at 594 nm, is ideal for flow cytometry and emerging microscope and DNA sequencing applications that rely on exciting fluorescent dyes like Texas Red.

The Exelsior-594 Laser is the twelfth addition to the Excelsior Laser family, which is now a complete line of low power continuous wave lasers for semiconductor and bioinstrumentation applications. Excelsior_orange.jpg
