Alliance Fiber Optics Products Inc. (AFOP) has unveiled a line of rugged-ized fused fiber couplers and wavelength division multiplexers. They come with either 900-µm buffer or 3-mm jacketed fiber cable in 1 X 2 or 2 X 2 configurations. All of the company's Ultra Grade series components are available with this line. The company says its lightweight packaging and proprietary Fuse-Lock process technology components provide a low-loss, environmentally stable series of fused products.
