A fast-switched diode laser with pulse widths adjustable between 1 and 40 ns is available from PicoQuant GmbH. The FSL 400 produces rectangular light pulses at repetition rates from single shot to 20 MHz. Peak powers up to 50 mW are achievable, depending on the laser head used. Laser heads are available for wavelengths between 635 and 780 nm, with others available on request.
