Fostec Inc. has introduced a light line for web/line scanning and OEM applications. With output fiber angled 30° to the nosepiece and polished on a bias, the light line emits at 45° to the nosepiece. The line can be positioned off axis to the object under inspection, illuminate without loss of uniformity and avoid interference with the camera's field of view. It measures 6 x 0.039 in. with a 33-in. bundle that exits from the back.
