The FibreClip fiber system from the Krone Group is terminated with only the optical ferrule in place rather than having multifiber connectors or multiple SC or ST connectors. After installation, reconfiguration is a matter of unclipping it and pushing it in again. FibreClip eliminates the need for a connector pair within the patch panel, removing 0.5 dB from the loss budget at the end of the link. The 50/125 or 62.5/125 multimode cables are available in 4-, 8- and 12-way cores.
