Photobit Corp. says that its color-processing chip eliminates the need for specialized color-processing hardware and software, thus shortening the camera design cycle. The TrueColor Processor PB-R006 converts the output of the company's CIF-size PB-0100 and VGA-format PB-0300 CMOS image sensors into 24-bit RGB or 16-bit YUV industry-standard video formats. The chip has a processing rate of 60 fps at CIF resolution and 30 fps at VGA resolution.
