Profile Optische Systeme GmbH has unveiled external-cavity laser modules for its series of Pro 8000 controllers, which are suitable for multichannel testing of DWDM components. Up to eight modules can be operated simultaneously in one controller, and each one provides an antireflex-coated laser diode within an external-cavity setup. Depending on the selected module, the output spectrum can be tuned from 1525 to 1575 nm or from 1565 to 1605 nm.
