Version 2.1 of Cyrax, the 3-D laser scanning software from Cyra Technologies Inc., includes application-specific functionality and a global registration feature, which allows faster and more accurate stitching of multiple or overlapping scans. Cyrax 2.1 can convert 3-D laser scans to 2-D line drawings and export 3-D models and 2-D drawings to AutoCAD and MicroStation. The software is suitable for use with the Cyrax 2400 laser scanner for as-builts and site surveys, historical archiving, digitization of movie sets and other scanning applications.
