The DualChip NanoLaser produces up to 50 mW of UV output, and more than 100 mW of green and 500 mW of high-peak-power infrared. NanoLase designed the amplified passively Q-switched microchip laser for applications that are traditionally filled by air-cooled argon-ion, helium-cadmium, pulsed nitrogen and actively Q-switched YAG lasers. The laser emits subnanosecond pulses at an up to 50-kHz repetition rate in a hermetically sealed laser head. According to the company, pulses as short as 300 ps and pulse repetition rates as high as 80 kHz have been achieved in the laboratory. The laser is suitable for use in the semiconductor, medical diagnostic, photopolymerization and analytical instrument industries.
