Dalsa Corp. of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has entered an agreement to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Montreal-based Coreco Inc., subject to certain conditions. The purchase, valued at approximately $72 million, will lead to a convergence of technologies, which will initially address market requirements in flat panel display inspection. Dalsa is a specialist in digital cameras and image sensor chips while Coreco produces software, vision processors and smart cameras. The transaction is expected to close in late April.
