Cascades diode laser stack arrays have been produced by nLight Corp. for use in direct-diode materials processing, in medical applications or as a pump source for solid-state lasers. They feature 1-cm-wide microchannel water-cooled bars that provide 50, 60, 80 or 100 W from 790 to 980 nm and 20 W of CW power from 1435 to 1570 nm. The arrays are available with fast- and slow-axis collimation optics and can be configured horizontally or vertically, with a maximum of 20 bars high and six bars across.
