The FastCam-X 1024 PCI is a PC-based, high-speed video imaging system that offers megapixel resolution at up to 1000 fps, a 10-bit CMOS sensor with 17-µm square pixels and an electronic shutter that operates down to 2 µs. Manufactured by Photron USA Inc., the imaging system achieves variable aspect ratios with user-specified building blocks that are automatically configured to the specified framing speed. It includes 20 memory slots for speed and resolution settings, 14 preset resolution patterns, 33 preset frame-rate patterns, and 2 or 6 GB of expandable memory. It features a C- and F-mount lens adapter and FastCam Viewer software, and it connects to the PCI-specification 2.1 card by a 16-ft flexible cable. The system is suitable for high-speed imaging in automotive, process control, medical, aerospace and industrial manufacturing applications.
