Suitable for OEM machine vision applications, iMux image-capture systems from Baumer Optronic GmbH incorporate iX digital cameras, PCI interface boards and software drivers. The cameras offer high sensitivity, low noise and two operating modes that may be used simultaneously to enable high image acquisition rates. The trigger interface and output for controlling the external flash illumination units are located in the camera's housing for process synchronization. Incorporating FPGA technology, the PCI boards provide digital trigger interfaces for each camera as well as the option for up to eight digital inputs/outputs. The company offers software device drivers and a software development kit for integrating the cameras into existing applications.
