Lambda Research Corp. and Brandenburg GmbH have released version 1.3 of the LucidShape with LucidFunGeo software for automotive illumination design and analysis. The software features a scene simulator that has multiple viewpoints -- driver's view, bird's-eye view or a user-defined eye point -- for visualizing the performance of headlights in a night scene. It includes new bulbs, projector system and lens optimization modules. An interactive program allows lighting designers to visualize the appearance of any automotive lighting system when lit. The user can set different eye and target systems or rotate the view interactively using the mouse.
