The Laser Institute of America (LIA) is offering laser safety auditing to help medical facilities comply with the ANSI Z136.3-2005 “Safe Use of Lasers in Health Care Facilities” standard and to prepare for and comply with JCAHO and OSHA inspections. LIA will review all aspects of a company’s laser program, training records, laser policies and procedures, laser documentation and preventive maintenance procedures for laser equipment. Each audited facility will receive a complimentary registration for LIA’s Medical Laser Safety Officer Training course and, within two weeks of the completion of the audit, a written report with recommendations.
