BISTABLE SHUTTER

BISTABLE SHUTTER The Uniblitz BDS25, a 25-mm-aperture shutter introduced by Vincent Associates, incorporates two microminiaturized electromagnetic actuator systems. It features bistable movement, which enables the shutter blades to remain in the open or closed position without a holding voltage applied to the coil, allowing the shutter to operate under lower power and bandwidth conditions. Available in an unhoused OEM version that is electronically programmed to fire specific exposures at precise time intervals, it can be driven by the company's VMM or VCM drive system through the supplied microprocessor interface cable. It is suitable for medical imaging, CCD and video cameras, and for low-level laser switching applications.
