Brian Reece Scientific Ltd. (BRSL) has launched a high-speed camera system that incorporates a monochrome camera that has a CMOS sensor and a Camera Link digital interface, a digital frame grabber and a Camera Link cable with Windows software. It delivers lossless video recording directly to a computer's memory or hard disk and operates at 50 to 580 fps, with a display resolution of 252 X 196 pixels. Shutter time is software-adjustable from 10 µs to 20 ms in 10-µs increments. The system is available with a PCI bus digital frame grabber card for installation on a desktop computer, or with a PCMCIA PC card for use with a laptop.
