PHOTON COUNTING

PHOTON COUNTING SensL has introduced the PCMPlus, an intelligent photon-counting module that incorporates a solid-state CMOS-compatible photon-counting sensor with a microprocessor-based control board. Operating from 400 to 850 nm, the Peltier-cooled unit features a typical QE of 45% at 650 nm, a timing jitter of ≤150 ps FWHM, an internal operating voltage of <40 V and an integrated counter that eliminates the need for external counting electronics. All module parameters can be remotely configured by PC via a USB interface, enabling users to optimize the sensor performance for particular applications. It is available with up to 16 sensors as well as in stand-alone and fiber-pigtailed versions.
